Though BMNET leads the movement, it must be understood that it doesn't own the movement. The churches as a channel was strategically chosen to potentially guarantee presence. We are counting with everyone. Let us all put aside our differences.

Planning for an Action Meeting of Brazilian Congregations on Federal Legislation for National Immigration Reform and State Legislation on Drivers Licenses
I. Planning and Logistics
1. Date - Pastor Oswaldo informed that the Catholic Church in Framingham will be holding a big event on June 15th. Immediately we decided to change the date for June 22 at 6 PM. We went to visit the BRACE place. It was closed.

Massachusetts Communities Action Network (MCAN) is a federation of faith
Based community improvement organizations located in Brockton, Fall River,
New Bedford, Worcester, Springfield, and Lynn.
On February 21, 600 members of Brockton Interfaith Community met with
Congressman Stephen Lynch about the immigration reform legislation.
On April 20, 500 members of Essex County Community Organization met with
Congressman John Tierney about immigration reform
On April 4, 600 members of the union SEIU and some members of our Brockton
Interfaith Community group met with Senator Elizabeth Warren, Congressman
Joe Kennedy and Congressman Michael Capuano about immigration reform
